The five awards will be presented at the Provost’s Civic Awards Charity Dinner on Friday, March 21, which will be held in the Seamill Hydro. All proceeds from the fundraising night will be shared between The Ayrshire Hospice and Cash for Kids. Every year generous local businesses contribute to the event and to charity funds by taking tables at the dinner, donating auction prizes or sponsoring awards.
Provost Joan Sturgeon said, “We all know people who don't quite realise how far their efforts go in helping others or the valid contribution they make to their communities. They tend to work quietly away in the background without seeking any reward or any acclaim. These are our real heroes.”
Local businesses and organisations who wish to book a table, sponsor a Civic Pride Award, donate a prize for the auction or lend their support in any way should contact the Corporate Communications Team at North Ayrshire Council on 01294 324137.
